Kera beach is located 22km east of Chania, between the beaches of Kalives and Almyrida.

The beach isn’t organised but there are accommodation and dining options in the wider area.

Notes

Opposite the beach you will see the island of Karga and to the west, there is a rock offshore called Karavos (i.e. ship).
There is the small picturesque church of Panagia Kera in the fields above, overlooking the beach.

How to get to Kera

Kera beach is accessible by private cars and motorbikes.
If you choose to drive from Chania, take the road leading to the port of Souda.
Little before reaching the port, turn right towards the intersection with the new National road (E75) towards Rethymno, to the east.
Take the exit to Kalives and follow the paved road between Kalives and Almyrida leading to the beach after about 500m.
The beach isn’t visible from the road.
