Maridati beach

Location

Maridati is a beautiful and remote beach, hidden in a green valley near Palekasto, just 3km northern of the famous Kouremenos beach.
The small beach is situated at a distance of 90km eastern to Aghios Nikolaos , 22km east of Sitia and 5km northeastern of Palekastro.

Facilities

The beach isn’t organised itself but there is ample space to park, a cafe, a tavern and some apartments to let.

Notes

Maridati is suitable for free camping and due to the winds, is also ideal for windsurfing.

How to get to Maridati

Maridati is accessible by rented or private cars and motorbikes.
If you drive from Palekastro, follow the road leading to Vai beach and after about 4-5 kilometres you will see a sign to Maridati, pointing to a dirt track on your right.
After about 1,5km of driving on that relatively difficult track you will reach the beautiful beach.
