The isolated beach of Malavra is 2km east of Tholos beach, and 3km south of the village of Kavousi which is found on the main road connecting Agios Nikolaos and Sitia.

Notes

Malavra beach is affected by the north winds blowing during late July and August.
It is surrounded by huge vertical cliffs and therefore nudism is an option!

How to get to Malavra

Malavra is accessible only by private cars and motorbikes.
In the road connecting Agios Nikolaos and Sitia, take a left turn as soon as you reach the village of Kavousi, opposite the church.
There is a sign leading to Tholos beach which you will find at the end of a road, driving through olive groves.
Little before the Tholos beach, you will see a dirt track on your right leading to the fresh water springs of Malavra.
Park your vehicle and follow the short and easy path to Malavra beach.
