The adjacent beaches are shaped on the sides of a small peninsula, with fine pebbles and crystal clear deep waters, ideal for snorkeling.

How to get to Gialiskari

Paleochora is easily accessible from Chania with frequent public buses or private cars and motorbikes.
If you choose to drive from Chania, follow the new National road (E75) towards Kissamos, to the west.
After about 20km, take the exit to Paleochora.
The route is well signposted.
In order to reach Gialiskari, follow the dirt coastal road leading to the east, after the Paleochora campsite.

    Hello Georgia,

    Thank you very much for your info and corrections.
    It is true that there are tamarisk trees available at the beach which are shown in photos (and we will edit the text soon).
    As far as we remember the cost for one umbrella and two sunbeds was 5 euro (at summer of 2012 ). Is that correct?

    Dear friends hello,
    We let you know that the third beach is exclusive in Crete, with Natural shade under the almyrida trees……sandy beach & small coloured pebbles,…very well organized the last few years….!! Also has a small cafe-taverna.
    If you have please to correct the details for the 3nd & best Sandy beach…in Gialiskari beach & not Gianniskari beach.( The name comes from aigialos & skari….. in the past could stay there the boats ( skaria ) because exept the sw wind, all the other times
    the sea is very calm, quiet..!!
