Successful effort of holidaymakers and residents of Kedrodassos in Elafonissi to save a dolphin that had lost its orientation and approached the coast.
A tourist camper in Kedrodasos called an environmental organisation to inform that a disoriented dolphin had been washed up.
Although they were trying to save it, further help was needed.

A group of 10 volunteers was immediately formed and after several failed attempts, under the guidance of Ms Komnenos, a university professor, and the help of the volunteers from the Provinces of Kandanos and Selino, the dolphin started swimming again inwards.
They followed it for half a mile until it reached the cape of Krios.
A great success indeed!
