A pristine beach just about 1,5 kilometres west from Paleochora, Psilos Volakas is a lovely small pebbled cove which may be lacking natural shade or nearby facilities but still is an ideal stop for a refreshing dive.

Notes
Psilos Volakas is realtively more protected from the winds than its neighboring beaches.
How to reach Psilos Volakas
Paleochora is easily accessible from Chania with frequent public buses or private cars and motorbikes.
If you choose to drive from Chania, follow the new National road (E75) towards Kissamos, to the west.
After about 20km, take the exit to Paleochora.
The route is well signposted.
In order to reach Psilos Volakas, follow the road starting from Pachia Ammos beach to the west, towards Grammeno and Kundura.
