Location
Kavros beach is about 42km east of Chania and 18km west of Rethymnon, just 4km east of the seaside town of Georgioupolis.
Kavros is a part of the 10km long beach that starts from Georgioupolis and stretches east to the village of Episkopi.

Notes
Kavros beach is sandy with shallow waters, ideal for families.
The only drawback is that it often has large waves as it is exposed to northern winds.
How to get to Kavros
Kavros is easily accessible with frequent public buses connecting Chania and Rethymno.
If you choose to get there by car, take the new National road (E75) and about 4 kilometres after Georgioupolis you will see sighns leading to the beach.
