The beach isn’t organized but there is a tavern in the vicinity.
Notes
The beach has rocky seabed which makes it perfect for snorkeling and fishing.
The picturesque chapel of Agia Marina which is situated at the east side of the beach features Byzantine frescoes.
The carob trees provide shade under which you may camp.
How to reach Agia Marina
Agia Marina beach is accessible by private or rented cars and motorbikes.
If you choose to drive from Rethymno, take the provincial road Melambon-Agias Galinis to the south.
After about 18km turn right to the provincial road Bales-Chora Sfakion towards Ano Rodakino and after you have reached it follow the signs to Korakas and Polirizos.
After Polirizos follow the dirt track leading to the beach.
If you choose to drive from Chania, take the new National road (E75) towards Rethymno, to the east.
After about 37km take the exit to Vrysses and follow the provincial road Vrysson-Sfakion.
Before Chora Sfakion turn left towards Komitades and Frangokastelo.
Little before the village of Skaloti turn right to the dirt road towards Polirizos beach.
