There are no banks or ATM cash point michines but Ierapetra town is not far and accessible by public buses.
Notes
*The long beach of Myrtos is rarely affected by the winds.
If you head west or east of the long stretch in front of the village, you will find other more secluded beaches with rocky seabeds.
How to reach Myrtos
Myrtos is accessible from Ierapetra with frequent public buses.
If you choose to drive from Heraklion, take the road to Viannos, which continues on to Mirtos and Ierapetra.
If you drive from Ierapetra, take the provincial coastal road to the west and after about 16 km you will reach Mirtos.
If you drive from Sitia, follow the New National Road (E75) connecting Sitia and Heraklion, to the east.
After 60km, turn left to the provincial road Pachias Ammou-Gdohia and then follow the signs.
If you come from Agios Nikolaos which is 45km north of Myrtos, head south towards Ammoudara, Vathy, Kalo Chorio and on to the provincial road Ierapetras- Prinas and after 30km you will have reached the provincial coastal road west to Myrtos.
