Location
Agios Pavlos Sandhills is approximately 55 km south of Rethymno town and 100km south-west of Heraklion.
It is undoubtedly among the most idyllic beaches in Crete with warm waters and huge sand dunes which offer impeccable views.

Facilities
Few umbrellas and sunbeds are available on the beach.
A beach bar, taverns, accommodation options as well as a Yoga and Tai Chi center can be found at the nearby village of Agios Pavlos.

This unique place is a perfect destination for relaxing and quiet holidays.
The beach can be reached through a path that starts from the village of Agios Pavlos.
You will then have to descend a very high and steep sand dune.
There are a number of other secluded coves to be found if you start walking towards the west, perfect for naturism.
The beach is affected by the southern winds.
How to get to Agios Pavlos Sandhills
Access to Agios Pavlos Sandhills is possible only by private and rented cars and motorbikes.
If you drive from Rethymno town, follow the road to Spili and Agia Galini, drive past the vilage of Akoumia, turn right after the village of Nea Krya Vryssi and later drive past the village Sachtouria.
Shortly before entering the village of Agios Pavlos, take the dirt road on your right which stops in a plateau, where you can leave your car.
