Chrissi Akti beach (i.e. Golden beach) is 2.5km west of Chania town and a few meters east of Agii Apostoli beach.
Stretching for over one kilometre, Chrissi Akti has golden sand and shallow waters, safe for children.

Notes
The beach consists of two coves separated by a hill.
The westernmost cove towards Agii Apostoli is more popular whereas the other one is less crowded and organised.
The area up to Agii Apostoli hosts pines and eucalyptus trees and is ideal for jogging.
Informal volleyball games are played in the afternoons.
