The traditional tavern Ta Temenia is situated at the homonymous village, 65km south of Chania and just 15km before Sougia.
It has been operating for more than 20 years, offering traditional Cretan dishes, produced by seasonal raw materials which solely derive from our numerous family gardens and our own livestock.
The menu changes all the time as the owners only take advantage of the seasonal crops and thus you will only find dairy products and the best homemade yogurt from April onwards!
All the dishes are cooked in the wood oven so as to enhance the freshness of the raw materials, simply try the chestnuts stew and you will come to realising how the use of the pure ingredients of the Cretan earth constitutes one of the healthiest diets in the world!
