Kalogeros beach

Location

Kalogeros beach (i.e. Monk), is located 57km south of Chania town, 13km east of Sougia and just 1km west of Agia Roumeli.
This wonderful beach with the the crystal clear waters will literally amaze you.

Between Kalogeros and Agia Roumeli, other small and isolated beaches are shaped.
They are sourrounded by huge cliffs and therefore are called Spilies sto Marmaro (i.e. Caves in Marble).

Facilities

The beach is completely unorganized and far from amenities, so take everything you need with you.
*There are some pine trees and a small cave under which you can find shade and camp.

Notes

The beach took its name from the imposing rock that stands offshore and resembles a monk!
Due to its seclusion, it is preffered by naturists.
The beach of Fournoti is about 500m west of Kalogeros.

How to reach Kalogeros

Kalogeros beach can be reached by a taxi boat from Agia Roumeli or on foot by the E4 path.
