Agistri is a family run fish tavern with superb views to the olive grows of Palekastro and the sea.
Situated at the village of Agathias, 18km east of Sitia town and just 9km south of Vai beach, Agistri is mostly famous for its fresh fish, sea food and their tasty accompaniments.
The fresh fish is sourced from the family fish boat and is cooked with local ingredients.
Its menu also includes meat oriented dishes and traditional Cretan recipes.

Superb prices for really fresh fish!
Friendly owners and staff, might not be a sea view place but with these prices, it is well worth visiting Agathia village and spare the sea views.
A highly recommended traditional fish restaurant!

Great family-run taverna, the freshest fish at excellent prices for Cretan standards!!
All members of the family who work there are very welcoming people.
We ate there every day during our 3-day stay in Palekastro.
Meat as well as casserole dishes were very well cooked too.
Complimentary fruit and ample raki at the end of the meals.
Hope we will return soon to wonderful east Crete!
